Mark Soo: Night and fog and a glass of milk

Vancouver artist Mark Soo presents an installation created within the upper gallery at Western Bridge, using materials found in the building and bought from area businesses. “Night and fog and a glass of milk” explores perception within specific circumstances-a darkened gallery, for example. Viewers in the gallery will experience perceptual conditions linked with night and fog, and the sensory adaptations of their bodies to these conditions. As an experience that changes over time, as senses adjust to the local conditions, the project alludes to the shifting and abstract manner in which we experience time and duration.
